It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Past National Commander Charles S. Kyser. On behalf of National Sons of AMVETS, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to the Kyser family.  You will be in our prayers, and may the Lord provide you grace to ease your grief during this most difficult time.
In Ohio, Chuck worked his way through the ranks and eventually was elected the Department of Ohio Commander. He held that post for 3 consecutive years (1990-1993). This accomplishment has never been equaled.
Maintaining his proactive efforts to support Veterans, Chuck became an integral part of National Sons of AMVETS. After holding various national positions, he was elected National Sons of AMVETS Commander in 1993. His knowledge and expertise earned the respect of his peers and in 1994 he was re-elected as National Commander. Chuck is one of only 3 National Commanders to serve multiple terms.
Chuck was and will continue to be a source of inspiration for our membership for years to come.
Respectfully,
Michael ‘Mick’ Ciesla - Commander
National Sons of AMVETS
